This module isn't built yet. If you open Visitors in WorkHub you'll find a placeholder describing what's coming, not a working sign-in book. We'd rather say that here than have you plan a reception process around it.

What's planned

  • Pre-register expected visitors and print badges
  • Notify hosts automatically on arrival
  • Log deliveries and couriers
  • Evacuation and roll-call reporting

Where it sits

It's on the public roadmap. Voting there genuinely affects the order we build in, so if reception is the thing holding you back, say so — that's more useful to us than a guess.

Integration with a visitor sign-in app you already own is tracked separately on the same board.

In the meantime

  • Keep whatever sign-in process you have. A paper book or an existing iPad app both carry on working.
  • Expected visitors can be noted on a booking in the Notes field, which at least puts them somewhere reception can see.
  • For contractors coming to do work, the ticket they're dispatched to is the record of who was on site and why.

One thing worth setting up now

Whatever you use, agree a retention period for visitor records with whoever owns GDPR compliance for your business. A visitor book is personal data, and that's true of a paper one at reception as much as a digital one.
