Rooms are set up once with their rates, and everything downstream — the diary, the booking widget, invoicing — reads from that.

Adding a room

Settings → Bookings. Give each room a name, a capacity, a floor and a photo. The floor comes from your central floor list, so the diary and every dropdown group rooms the way the building actually stacks — see Building floors, and how locations work.

Rates

Rates are per hour (hourly) or a flat fee (half day / full day), and you can offer any combination. For each rate set:

  • Tenant £ — what your tenants pay
  • External £ — what a non-tenant pays

Public and internal rates

A rate is either public — bookable by tenants and by the booking widget — or internal, meaning only staff and admins can book it, on someone's behalf. Tick one, or neither.

This is how you run a room that is bookable to the public at one price and blocked out internally at another, without maintaining two rooms.

Availability

Set the hours each room can be booked and any buffer between bookings. A room that needs resetting between sessions should say so here rather than relying on whoever is on reception to remember.

The booking widget

Settings → Booking Widget gives you an embeddable widget for your own website, so external customers can see availability and book. Only public rates appear in it.

Empty meeting rooms earn nothing. This is the setting that turns spare capacity into revenue, and WorkHub takes no commission on it.
